Here we report an outbreak among 17 patients caused by a single strain of a multiresistant methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus (MR-MSSA) in a burn centre. The MR-MSSA strains were resistant to penicillin, ciprofloxacin, erythromycin, clindamycin and co-trimoxazole.
