Epidemiological studies were carried out on 135 isolates of Staphylococcus aureus strains originating from medical staff, patients, and hospital environment. Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis revealed genetic diversity of S. aureus isolates. Some clones were transmitted among nurses, doctors and patients.
