To investigate the f variant of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) in nasopharyngeal carcinogenesis, we detected the f variant in primary nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), metastatic carcinoma of the lymph node (LN), and chronic inflammation of the nasopharynx from the Guangdong region.
