Allele frequencies for 15 short tandem repeat (STR) loci were obtained from a sample of 12,030 individuals undergoing paternity testing. This sample includes individuals from all States in Brazil, combined according to the current country division into five regions (North, Northeast, Central West, Southeast, and South).
