INTRODUCTION: Circulating Chlamydia trachomatis genotypes that cause infection in our geographic area were studied with the aim of detecting possible epidemiological peculiarities. METHODS: A total of 177 strains obtained between 2006 and 2008 were genotyped using a PCR with primers targeting the ompA gene, and later sequenced.
