Ertapenem resistance in Klebsiella pneumoniae is rare. We report on an ertapenem-nonsusceptible phenotype among 25 out of 663 (3.77%) extended-spectrum-beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing K. pneumoniae isolates in a multicenter Israeli study.
