OBJECTIVE: The 6-pyruvoyl-tetrahydropterin synthase (PTPS) deficiency is the most common type of tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4) deficiency. The reported patients with BH4 deficiency are all PTPS deficient found in the mainland of China previously.
