BACKGROUND: Dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa pruriginosa (DEB-Pr; OMIM 604129) is a rare manifestation of dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DEB), characterized by pruritus, nodular prurigo-like lesions and fragility of the skin mainly in the extremities.
