A Gram-positive, aerobic, non-motile actinobacterium strain, designated YIM 45607(T), was isolated from a rhizosphere soil sample in Kunming, south-west China. Chemotaxonomically, the isolate contained chemical markers that supported its assignment to the genus Rhodococcus.
