The precise taxonomic position of Roseivirga seohaensis strain SW-152T, formerly [Marinicola] seohaensis, was established. On the basis of data from DNA-DNA reassociation experiments and phenotypic analysis, it is proposed that this strain should be considered as a later heterotypic synonym of Roseivirga ehrenbergii KMM 6017T Nedashkovskaya et al. 2005.
