We report a chronic myeloproliferative disease-unclassifiable (CMPD-U) patient who achieved hematological remission following imatinib mesylate (imatinib). Chromosomal and molecular analyses demonstrated no genetic abnormalities of c-abl, bcr-abl, c-kit or platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) genes from hematopoietic cells.
