Cryopreserved umbilical cord blood (UCB) from 4-6/6 HLA-A,B antigen and DRB1 allele matched unrelated neonatal donors contains sufficient numbers of hematopoietic stem cells (HSC) to engraft most younger pediatric patients with leukemia.
