Two catalogs of alleles of gliadin-coding loci, controlling synthesis of a storage protein of wheat caryopsis, gliadin, were compared. One catalogue comprises the alleles detected according to the electrophoretic patterns in starch gels; the other, in polyacrylamide gels.
