We conducted a phylogeographic study on the alpine plant Arcterica nana based on haplotypes of chloroplast DNA. Using a sequence of approximately 1,071 bp of intergenic spacers of chloroplast DNA (trnT-L, psbB-psbF), we detected 13 haplotypes among 193 individuals sampled from 22 populations.
