We discuss analyses of Genetic Analysis Workshop 14 data from the Collaborative Study on the Genetics of Alcoholism (COGA) as well as from a simulated complex disease, Kofendrerd personality disorder (KPD), with both genetic and phenotypic heterogeneity.
