Familial nonmedullary thyroid cancer (FNMTC) is a syndrome of familial clustering of thyroid cancers of follicular cell origin. It is characterized by multifocality, early onset, more recurrences, and a higher degree of aggressiveness than nonfamilial thyroid cancers of follicular cell origin.
