Dissipation mechanisms of excess photon energy under water stress were studied in ndhB-inactivated tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum cv. Xanthi) mutants, which are impaired in NAD(P)H dehydrogenase-dependent cyclic electron flow around PSI.
