Nucleotide sequence analyses of the hymenomycetous yeasts demonstrated that Hyalodendron lignicola should be considered as a member of the genus Trichosporon within the Trichosporonales and that Trichosporon pullulans is associated closely with the Cystofilobasidiales, rather than the Trichosporonales.
