Comparative 16S rDNA studies on six strains of actinomycete isolated from clinical specimens revealed that they belong to the genus Nocardia and are closely related to Nocardia seriolae, Nocardia otitidiscaviarum, Nocardia uniformis, Nocardia pseudobrasiliensis and Nocardia crassostreae.
