In etiolated seedlings of Pisum sativum and leaves of Arabidopsis thaliana, in vivo ethylene treatment resulted in an increase in in vitro phosphorylation of 17 kD (P. sativum) or 16 and 17 kD (A. thaliana) polypeptides.
