Status metry was used to determine the portion of congenital developmental abnormalities (CDA) of obscure etiology (probably of mutation origin) among the total number of CDA in 3 cities of the Ukraine. The contribution of CDA determined by new mutations correlates with the reported data and corresponds with the level of atmospheric air pollution in the cities under study.
