Hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotypes were examined in HIV-infected patients with chronic HBV infection seen in our clinic during 2002. A total of 28 of 1100 individuals (prevalence 2.5%) were found to be HBsAg and HBV-DNA positive. HBV genotypes could be determined in 23 of them.
