Pasteurella haemolytica isolates (n = 31) from two isolated captive herds of Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep (Ovis canadensis canadensis) were characterized and compared phenotypically (biotype, serotype, hemolytic activity) and by a genomic fingerprinting method known as ribotyping.
