Sixty coagulase-negative staphylococcus (CNS) isolates were recovered from the blood cultures or peritoneal dialysate effluent of 43 patients on renal dialysis. The patients had either renal dialysis catheter-related sepsis (CRS) or continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis (CAPD)-associated peritonitis.
