Clp, a homologue of cyclic AMP receptor protein (CRP), of Xanthomonas campestris regulates the expression of many genes. In this study, proteomic analysis showed the amounts of several extracellular proteins in a clp mutant to be reduced, including the flagellin encoded by fliC.
