In our multiple sclerosis (MS) study as a part of the 11th IHWS we HLA-typed 6 MS families with 9 patients and defined the complement polymorphisms (BF, C2, C4) of these families. The aims of the study were the definition of the MS susceptibility gene and the investigation of the involvement of other factors in the etiopathogenesis of MS.
