A cDNA encoding a putative African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) gonadal LH receptor (cfLH-R) has been cloned. Multiple sequence alignment of the deduced amino acid sequence revealed that the cfLH-R had the highest identity with vertebrate LH receptors (>50%).
