Genomic diversity at 15 short tandem repeat loci is studied in four major endogamous populations of Uttar Pradesh (UP), India. The studied populations included Thakur, Khatri, Kurmi and Jat; all of whom belong to Hindi speaking linguistic group of UP State of India.
