The level and the spatial organization of chloroplast DNA polymorphism were investigated in Dicorynia guianensis Hamshoff (Caesalpiniaceae) at different spatial and temporal scales. D. guianensis is a canopy tree of the rain forest that is distributed throughout the Guiana plateau in small aggregates.
