Culture of guinea pig and rabbit respiratory tracts for bacteria using X- (haemin) and V- (NAD) factor in agar media detected infection by V-factor dependent Pasteurellaceae (Haemophilus sp.) in three colonies of guinea pigs and a group of rabbits.
